Within your lifetime, you will be able to leave Earth and travel to Mars. SpaceX, the world's most innovative private aerospace company, is currently working to build its Starship vehicle which should enable life to become multiplanetary. The Starship vehicle is capable of lifting over 100 tons to Mars. This high weight capacity allows large amounts of heavy cargo to be transported to Mars, including food, equipment, water, machines to generate propellant on Mars (using Sabatier Process and mining robots), and much more. With multiple Starships from SpaceX, tens of thousands of tons can be transported to and from Mars simultaneously, to build a self-sustaining city on the surface of the planet (and perhaps underground). We mention SpaceX the most because they are the only private company that is seriously focused on making humanity multiplanetary, starting with Mars. If another company does the same, we will mention them a lot too. But no other companies have shown the same determination or seriousness. SpaceX is shaping the future of humanity right now, and whether you like it or not, it's true.
